eng Simulation aided planning of railway infrastructure within the frame of logistic nodes Within the frame of planning, related to the railway infrastructure encapsulated by logistic nodes, there is quite interesting problem how to verify operational suitability of designed layout. Computer simulation represents very convenient methodology, which can help to solve the mentioned problem. At first the simulation model of investigated logistic node (i.e. its operation) is built, verified and validated. After that the series of simulation experiments focused on different variants of designed layout are carried out. The variant, which represents the best operational results (e.g. fluent technological proceses without deadlocks, max. throughput etc.) can be recommended for final realisation. simulation, logistic node, infrastructure
