The laboratory is designed for teaching and research activities in the field of radio monitoring and location systems. The laboratory is equipped with instrumentation enabling measurement, analysis and subsequent decoding of signals (time and frequency domain) in the range from tens of kHz to 8 GHz. Antennas and antenna systems located on the roof of the building (especially antennas from Rohde & Schwarz) are used to receive signals. Multi-channel SDR receivers from Ettus and National Instruments are used for signal reception. Powerful workstations with a 43" LCD monitor, are connected to a disk array (with a capacity up to 24+6 TB) and used for signal recording and analysis.

The laboratory also includes instrumentation for outdoor measurements - this equipment includes rugged work laptops, spectrum analyzers and a portable radio receiver. Part of the laboratory includes a number of advanced GNSS receivers for precise localization (working with GPS / GLONASS / GALILEO / BEIDOU signals). GNSS receivers allow centimeter-accuracy using a reference GNSS station.
