The laboratory is mainly focused on teaching communication systems and their individual components. It is mainly the verification of individual parts of the communication chain, whether it is a message source, analog / digital signal formats, analog and digital modulation / demodulation techniques, etc. Modern laboratory equipment consists of workstations from ELABO, which contain a function generator, source, multimeters, 4-channel oscilloscope with touch screen from Rohde & Schwarz enabling analysis of individual components of the communication chain in the time and frequency domain. The teaching of communication systems takes place on the EMONA kit.
Furthermore, the laboratory is designed for teaching the analysis of electronic circuits and devices using the software tool LTSpice and the subsequent design of printed circuit boards using SW Eagle. Another use of the laboratory is for teaching digital signal processors with a focus on the implementation of digital signal processing algorithms (effective and correct implementation of digital filtering algorithms, FFT, correlation, etc.).
