The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics came into existence thanks to the boom of information technologies at the beginning of the 3rd millennium. Today it is a dynamically developing institution educating professionals in the prospective fields of IT, electronic systems, automation and communication technologies.
We prepare students for the jobs of developers, programmers, analysts, database and network administrators, specialists in information and communication systems development and control technology, or experts in radars and radio communication technology. We keep up with the latest technology trends and use state-of-the-art technologies in education and research. We put emphasis on practical skills and knowledge of students. We enable students to take internationally recognized certified exams during their study, which will help them easily succeed in the job market. We encourage students to realize part of their study at foreign partner universities around the whole Europe. We cooperate with a wide range of well-established companies on a national as well as international level and combine theoretical learning with practical experience. We work with students in a friendly environment with a personal approach to each and every one of them.
Although the history of our faculty is relatively short, it has already experienced some dynamic developments. First, in 2002 the Institute of Informatics was formed. After it had been extended by a new accredited study programme, its name changed to the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, and finally in 2008 it transformed into a new faculty of the University of Pardubice – Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. Today we educate professionals for the public as well as the private sector in 8 study programmes of all three degrees.
