Educational activities:
The educational activities of the Department of Information Technologies are focused on the area of operating systems, computer hardware components and peripheral devices, the area of networks and network components, the reliability of information systems and data security, further on teaching databases, database systems and their architectures, teaching programming and programming techniques, web technologies and web pages, teaching statistical data processing methods, computer and mathematical modeling, computer graphics and multimedia technologies, company information systems, management and company informatics.
Research activities:
The Department’s research activities cover data transmission within transportation systems, system integration, measurement automation, bulk and statistical data processing, univariate and multivariate models, numerical optimization methods, mathematical and computer modeling, artificial intelligence, security information systems and networks, modeling and optimizing company processes and utilization of information and communication technologies in managerial practice.
