cze Splnění požadavků na latenci chytrých měst pomocí SDN Chytrá města používají velké množství různorodých zařízení s cílem zlepšit veškeré aspekty fungování města. To často zahrnuje kritickou funkcionalitu, která vyžaduje splnění striktních nároků na síťovou komunikaci. Jedním z nejdůležitějších nároků je síťová latence. Tento článek analyzuje požadavky na síťovou latenci v oblasti chytrých měst a s nimi spojenými doménami. Analyzované požadavky jsou prakticky otestovány ve scénářích využívajících softwarově definované sítě - moderní koncept síťové programovatelnosti, který je v současnosti použit v různorodých oblastech včetně chytrých měst. Cílem tohoto testování je ověřit, zda softwarově definované sítě splní analyzované požadavky a zda tím pádem mohou být bezpečně použity v nasazení chytrých měst. Realistické výsledky jsou dosaženy testováním ve dvou odlišných scénářích: na malé síti složené z reálných hardwarových prvků a na rozsáhlé emulované síti odpovídající typické topologii chytrých měst. eng Meeting Smart City Latency Demands with SDN Smart cities utilise a large number of heterogeneous devices with goal to improve all aspects of city operations. This often includes critical functionality, which brings strict requirements on network communication. One of the most important requirements is network latency. This paper analyses latency requirements in areas of smart cities and related domains. Analysed requirements are then practically tested in use case networks based on software-defined networking—a modern paradigm of network programmability, which is becoming used in various areas, including smart cities. The goal of the testing is to verify, if software-defined networking can achieve analysed requirements and can be therefore safely utilised as a driving technology of smart cities. Realistic results are achieved by testing in two different scenarios: in a small scale network composed from real hardware devices, and in a large scale emulated network corresponding to a typical smart city topology.
