eng Distributed Multi Agent Control System for Efficient Heat Generation in District Heating Networks This article presents the architecture of multi agent distributed control system for efficient heat generation in district heating. Heat networks can contain more than one heating plant in order to minimize system operating costs and also to provide better pollution control. The main problem is then need to control one or more heating stations that can use different fuels with different operating cost, different power with special configuration requirements. The main aim of the whole district heat system is to provide the total amount of heat. The presented multi agent distributed control system is designed to optimize the heating plant configuration and operative strategies to minimize chosen operating costs and to preserve stable heat output at the same time. The control system realized by multi agent approach increases the speed of global optimization and system reconfiguration time. It helps to make the system less dependent on human factor and more resilient to human errors. The group of heating plants is fully automated and coordinated on the basis of total heat output requirement and local plant criteria. Further, the presented solution provides the intelligent ad-hoc reconfiguration of the system in the case of exclusion, inclusion or failure of heating plant.
