The actual survey represents a continuation to the author´s previous contribution from the year 2002 and deals with the future information technologies and their consequences for man. The progress in computer hardware has followed an amazingly steadily ascending curve in last few decades. Some scientists believe that the creation of higher than human intelligence will occur during next thirty years and beings even more intelligent can be constructed soon afterwards. The concept of strong artificial intelligence able to get ahead of man has its supporters as well as opponents.
