eng Process Frequency Response Identification for Decentralized Controller Tuning Design of decentralized controllers, based on knowledge of process frequency responses, is described in this paper. The frequency responses are calculated by fast Fourier transformation of signals from experiment with relay autotuner. This approach eliminates errors arising from building of a parametric model in form of transfer function with unknown structure. Number of relay tests on real system is reduced and experiments are shifted on computer, where various methods for controller parameter tuning may be tested. The procedure is demonstrated on system with two inputs and two outputs. Only two experiments are required for controllers tuning Multivariable system, decentralized control, relay autotuning, identification, PID controller
