SmartRail - Automated data analysis related to rail freigth traffic

Provider: Technologická agentura České republiky
Programme: Doprava 2020+
Implementation period: 01.01.23 - 31.12.25
Workplace: Fakulta elektrotechniky a informatiky - Katedra softwarových technologií
Investigator: Kavička Antonín
Team member: Brandejský Tomáš | Merta Jan | Diviš Roman
Description:
The aim of the project is to develop the "SmartAnalytics" methodology as a support for achieving higher economic profitability and safety of (freight) rail transport. The methodology specifies the relevant procedures and methods needed to perform continuous automated analysis of selected rail freight traffic data. This analysis will allow the timely repairs of wagons' defects (based on their detection and/or prediction) and detection of problem areas on the infrastructure or in the handling of wagons. Multi-source data will be used, in particular from: (i) intelligent wagons (critical events - over limit impacts, etc.) and (ii) fixed points on the infrastructure where technical problems of wagons are detected (hot bearings, etc.). The methodology will be validated on a larger case study.
