Tools and algorithms for persons identification with use of a human hand contour
Provider: Univerzita Pardubice
Programme: Studentská grantová soutěž
Implementation period: 01.01.20 - 31.12.20
Workplace:
Team member: Brandejský Tomáš
Description:
In the framework of the presented student grant the student (a problem solver) will deal in the complex view in the area of the person biometric identification with use of the hand contour and also the area of the correction of distortion defects of the optical systems of a biometric scanner which serves as the instrument of the hand images capturing. The results of the work which will be funded with use of the school grant will be represented by a set of new methods a and techniques in area of the persons identification with use of the hand shape contour in continuation to available technical equipment. Especially the new methods are considered which enable to remove a barrel or pillow centrical images distortion of the optical systems of the biometrical scanners. The newly proposed algorithms will use the different type of methods of the polynomial image correction and the advanced evolutionary algorithms. Next, the new algorithms and methods enabling to identify the persons with use of the human hand contour and all these methods will utilize the advanced evolutionary algorithms. The results of the proposed methods and algorithms will be verified with use of a suitable public hand contour comparative database and with use of the testing images of the general character from the biometric scanner. All proposed methods and algorithms will be published in suitable scientific journals and at suitable conferences.
