The faculty offers two two-year long full time master study programmes.

The language of instruction is Czech.

All applicants must have a bachelor degree.

After completion of a diploma thesis and passing of a state final exam graduates obtain the title “Inženýr“ - in English “Engineer“ (abbr. Ing. - equivalent of MA or MSc.)

Study Programme: Information Technology

Branch of Study:     Information Technology

The goal of this branch of study is to prepare specialists for work in development, project and research positions. They can also work as managers of development and project teams in companies and organizations that deal with development and administration of software, databases and information systems,  their operation or maintenance.

Graduates of the master study branch Information Technology have:

  • good theoretical knowledge of mathematics, theory of probability, statistics and data processing

  • general knowledge in all the essential areas of modern information technology

  • basic knowledge of economics, law, quality and project control

  • special knowledge in the areas of programme equipment development, design and programming of databases and database applications of graphic and multimedia systems and computer networks

Study Programme: Electrical Engineering and Informatics

Branch of Study:    Communication and Control Technology

The goal of this branch of study is to prepare graduates for job positions of technicians, developers and managers of companies and organizations which deal with operation, maintenance, production or development of communication, regulation, automation and safety technology. The graduates can also find employment in other industries, for example transport and communications.

Graduates of this master study branch have:

  • good theoretical knowledge of applied mathematics, theory of probability, statistics and data processing, theory of communication and signal processing

  • necessary knowledge of electrical engineering and analysis and design of basic as well as advanced analogue digital electronic circuits

  • special knowledge according to the specialization field – communication systems, control systems, digital technology, signal processing

  • general knowledge of project control, quality control, personal data protection and intellectual and industrial property

  • good orientation in modern information systems and their usage

Branch of Study:    Process Control

Graduates of this branch of study gain broad knowledge in the theory of automatic control, mechatronics, identification and modelling of dynamic systems, statistical data processing and control system planning with help of the most up-to-date means of information technology. They can use their knowledge mainly in the areas of design, production and services of measuring, information and automation systems. They find work as technicians and managers in production, research, development, higher educational organizations etc.
